Katie’s Breast Cancer Journey!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Katie’s Journey!

Katie was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer of two different types in December 2022. She went through 20 weeks of chemotherapy and immune therapy treatments to fight the cancer. She underwent surgery in June to remove the remaining cancer cells from her body. Pathology came back alarming which triggered the need for seeking a second opinion. She had a hiccup recently from surgery and had to undergo an emergency surgery before heading for MD Anderson for her second opinion.

 While she was at MD Anderson Cancer Center she received great news that the pathology read was misunderstood in Michigan. While receiving that great news she also received the not so settling news that she has lesions on her brain. She will be staying longer at MD Anderson to get more testing done, and possibly more treatments If they find out the cancer has metastasized to her brain.

 Money donated will help cover all costs that have been incurred thus far and all to come in the future. Medical, hotel accommodations, bills to keep the household going for their 4 children, while Katie and her husband Justin will have to take more time from work, etc… All donations are GREATLY appreciated! please send all the prayers and positive healing vibes you possibly can too!
