Kim Clayton's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On August 21st after a hectic move from Dawson Creek to Falkland BC. I was feeling absolutely drained and I had just chalked it up to moving to a new destination. On the 24th I went to the hospital in Vernon to get checked out to see what was going on. I thought it would simply be to get some anti biotics and then I could turn around and go get settled in to my new routine and home. However, that was the beginning of this story. After many doctors and blood tests it was determined that I need to be transferred to the Vancouver General Hospital for specialized treatment and further testing. Within the first few days of September I was diagnosed with acute liver failure. With that, On September 7th I have been put at the top of the transplant list for a liver. I am still waiting for a liver but have been told that the recovery time and place will be extensive and long term. After the hospital stay which should be somewhere by mid October then I have to stay in Vancouver at a secured long term care facility called Oak Manor for approximately 4 months. The funds I'm looking for will capture the cost of the facility and help with my recovery. Any funds that you could donate would in incredibly appreciated and used for my direct recovery. I thank you in advance for anything that you can do.
