Our son Mackenzie, 21,is having open heart surgery in early October for a congenital heart defect detected while he was at the Air Force basic training earlier this year. Since his return home in March he has had multiple hospital admissions related to his heart issues which has necessitated the need to have surgery done sooner rather than the end of the year, as previously scheduled.
With the announcement of the early October surgery it has shortened the window to prepare financially leading up to the surgery.
Kenzi is working full time at Salem Hospital and doing his best to work as much overtime as possible. After his procedure, Kenzi will not be able to work for at least two months so that he can properly heal. As a result he will be needing financial assistance. We are helping him as much as we are able and we appreciate anything you are willing to contribute.
