Help for Harley

Donation protected
Last month my friend Harley visited his doctor after suffering with an ongoing cough for three weeks to be told it was asthma. On Friday the 24th of Aug; when the cough wouldn't go away, Harley went back into his doctor who sent him for a blood test to check if it might be an allergy triggering the cough. Later that evening he received  a phone call stating that he needed to get to the hospital urgently. He then spent nearly 5 hours at the toowoomba base hospital mostly getting given drugs without being told what they were or why he was being given them.

When the doctors finally came in to see him, they told him he had  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He then got sent to the Princess Alexandra hospital in Brisbane by ambulance and was admitted at 1:30am Saturday morning. Since then it's been a long list of drugs and chemicals that he has been given...Harley has undergone a number of spinal taps, started chemo and will be admitted into hospital full time for a month followed by a further 5 months where he will need to be in Brisbane away from home for treatments every other day.

There is a good chance that he will be getting a bone marrow transfusion among other things during this timeframe. I am  raising funds to try to help Harley with some expenses but to also show him that when there is a need that people care and are willing to help someone in need.

In addition to helping raise funds for Harley, On Tues the 18th of September I and some of the youth in my church will be shaving our heads in support of Harley and for Leukaemia/cancer awareness.

Thank you for your time and for your generosity.
