Cure Cancer

My name is Cherry, 34 years old. A breast cancer patient. It was a fun summer time when my husband and I went back home to the Philippines to have our civil ceremony. Unexpectedly, I felt a lump on my left breast that bothered me during our stay there. I decided to see a doctor to have it checked. Diagnostics were done and the result was "highly suggestive of malignancy". Next step was biopsy for confirmation. The world turned against me when I found out that it was positive. Right away, I was scheduled to have a surgery called 'Modified Radical Mastectomy (left) - removal of my entire left breast including lymph nodes' on July 26, 2018. Life should go on,  we had to push through with our civil ceremony as we have planned inspite of the situation. After our summer leave, we went back to Canada. My oncologist here told me that I need to undergo 8 cycles of chemotherapy and take oral medication called Tamoxifen for 5 years. Like any other couple, we want to have children in the future that is why my husband and I are hoping to raise money to fund our expenses and to pay the fertility clinic and medications that I need to buy which is not covered under my health insurance. At the moment, I am not allowed to get pregnant because of my chemotherapy and oral medication that I need to take for 5 years.  It really breaks my heart thinking about 'NO babies for 5 yrs on top of my current condition' and without the assurance that I will still be capable of having a baby that time. We knew that there are a lot of people out there who are good samaritan and can help us raise the fund that we need. This will surely change our lives.
