I was diagnosed at the age of 12 with a sarcoma of the muscle, fat, and lymph in my left leg. I recieved multiple surgery plus radiation.  The results of those surgeries and raditation have follwed me through out life even after i was "cured" at the age of 18, in particular severe lymphedemia to my left leg. I have stage 2 lymphedemia (extreme swelling to leg leg from hip to toes) In the past three years as i have gotten older my body has suffered due to the treatments and surgeries of my youth. This year alone i have been hospitalized 3 times for severe infections  (cellulitus) with numerous other doctor visit. Up until Aug 2017 i worked full time and cared for my three kids( I still do while receiving treatments but my mother quit her job to help because of my numerous hospital stays. I was very proud of what i was accomplishing. Come Aug 2017 I was hospitalized with a life threatening infection that left me in hospital 2 weeks. I was then told by my doctor i could no longer work, I'd come to the point of choosing losing my leg or my life  unless I underwent PT, along with close monitoring and many doctor visits.  All Lymph Specialist are 30 mins to an hour away as well as my PT. The cost of gas as well as, custom compression garments, pumps, and out of pocket Specialist visits are taking a toll on me and my family. If you can help in any way i would greatly appreciate it! The sooner i can afford PT ( insurance only pays 30 visits i need 90 day therpy) and Special compression garment and at home co mpression pumps the sooner my risk for a life threating infection lowers and my ability to participate in my kids life or life in general and even work will greatly improve.
