Rob's Medical Fund

Since November of 2016, (my friend from 6th grade) Rob has been fighting the battle of his life, complications from diabetes. After having his left big toe removed he suffered complications that brought on excruciating pain in January which caused him to collapse on the floor of his apartment where he laid for what we can calculate over a day and a half until a friend contacted the police to do a welfare check. Rob was rushed to the hospital where the doctors performed the first procedure the next day. This procedure determined that Rob was going to need a below the knee amputation of his left leg. So on January 24th the leg was removed as well as additional surgery on his left hand that showed signs of infection due to the fall.  Rob was transferred to a rehab hospital four days after surgery but after 5 days he was showing signs of another complication and transported back to the hospital. Where another procedure was done and after a week he was transferred to another rehab hospital. While there he had yet another complication and transported to a different hospital directly across the street. There doctors determined he needed to be transferred back to the treating hospital. Not long after he was there a bone splinter from the stump of the amputated leg punctured the main artery and he started to bleed out he was given 16 units of blood and was operated on again after surgery he was put in ICU. After his recovery from that surgery he was transported back to the rehab hospital and was finally on his road to recovery. After 3 months Rob finally was able to get his prosthetic. He was discharged from the rehab about a week later. Since then Rob has had to learn a new way of life plus dealing with the insurmountable debt that he is now faced with. During his recovery he never received a paycheck and trying to get back on his feet (or foot as Rob would say) has been a challenge to say the least. He is back to work in the construction industry where he has been working out in heat of the hot Valley sun having to stop and check his stump often. Rob is a single guy trying to survive a whole new way of life any amount of financial help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless! ❤️
