Baby M

Baby "M" is a very special 2 year old.  Baby "M" became sick last week very quickly. Baby "M"  was hopitalized at Gundersen. When it was determined that they were diagnosed with E coli bacteria (Escherichia coli O157:H7), they were rushed by ambulance to a Children's Hospital in Madison. Baby "M" is struggling. Struggling to breathe, struggling to sleep and trying to manage the pain. Baby "M"'s kidneys are not working. After monitoring, they recently placed a catheter in their neck in order to do dialysis.  Baby "M" hasn't urinated since Thursday. The fluid has built up in their tissues from their toes up to their neck. The skin is very swollen and tight and extremely painful to the touch. Painful even when not being touched. The current plan is watching and monitoring during dialysis and continue to closely monitor the difficulties with breathing. There is a small amount of fluid building up in the lungs.  

     Baby "M" is in a family with a single mommy. Mommy is such a sweet  woman. She cares deeply for her kiddos. We are asking for donations to help off set the immense costs that are inevitable with this current trauma with Baby "M".  We are also taking this opportunity to make absolutely necessary repairs to this wonderful family's home. Mommy does a great job, but the repairs are beyond her means at this point.
