Help my son Evans Chuba follow his football dream!

Hello - my name is Julie Bruyère. I am fundraising for my 17 year old son Evans.

Evans has been playing football since the age of 5 and is a very gifted quarterback. This past year, his high school (Dalbe-Viau) won the Quebec Provincial Championships. 

Throughout high school, Evans has maintained an impressive average of over 90% and won academic and Football MVP awards every year. Since the age of 10, Evans has been extremely focused on his dream of Division 1 College football followed by the NFL. As his mother, no words can express how proud he makes me on and off the field.

His success has not gone unnoticed.

His football coaches have facilitated introductions to leading American high schools with highly regarded football and academic programs. One of these schools “Clearwater International Academy” in Florida is very interested in Evans as a starting quarterback for their senior team. This would be an important first step towards Evans’ dream of a football college scholarship and hopefully drafted into the NFL.

His training would begin April 2022. The cost is $1100 CDN per month for 24 months for a total of $26,000. 

I am a single mother working in the non-profit sector. I love my job and helping others in need. Unfortunately my salary will not cover these additional expenses.

It saddens me to think that my finances would be a major set back to Evans achieving his personal goals, particularly given the effort he has shown and success he has achieved to date. 

Let me give you a glimpse of his character. Recognizing the family's limited financial resources and wanting to attend various football camps to improve his skills, at the age of 14, Evans set up his own business shovelling snow and caring for lawns. He prospected and acquired clients, signed contracts, hired and supervised other classmates to support his growing business. This helped finance his football-related costs.

He never complained. He was working towards his dream.

Although I am emotional at the thought of Evans leaving his nest, I also recognize that he is ready and will thrive in this new environment. I want Evans to fulfill the dream that he has had since the age of 10.

My Ask: I am asking for assistance in reaching the $26,000 financial requirement. A contribution of any size will be appreciated and I promise to keep you posted on his progress.
