Kyra and Scrumble Getting Together

Kyra and Scrumble are on the scrounge.

We are in an internet relationship and we live on the other sides of the world from each other. We are very much in love.

We miss each other desperately. We communicate daily, lots. You know the stuff, four hour telephone conversations and very little sleep. We live at the ends of each other’s days. So, one person’s mornings are the other’s evenings, and vice versa. This is often a strange thing to navigate but we do well given this.

We're both pretty skint. Skint is an English word meaning having little or no money. This means that the cost of a flight round the world is a difficult thing to get together.

Scrumble has been to see Kyra in New Zealand in November. Parting was a tough thing. We both fell apart in various ways after that. Having a broken heart every day is not an easy thing to live with; it is at times devastating, in fact. Having a perfect other on the other side of the world causes pangs of great intensity.

The plan is for Kyra to come over to England. We have aimed for August, which feels like forever to wait.

Before you ask, we both have commitments in our own countries. This means that neither one of us can go and live with the other.

Anyway, we’re on the scrounge to see if our sob story can lever anyone into throwing some money into the pot to guarantee that we see each other again soon.
