SAVE OUR SMALL BUSINESS

In the fall of 2018, Tena and Joe Crock pursued their dream and purchased a yoga studio in Kent, Ohio called CenterPeace Yoga and Wellness. With a love for health and a passion for helping others, the two quickly made their studio a welcoming and enriching environment for all of their patrons. Their son, Myles, was born with health challenges and the studio allows for Tena and Joe to not only work for something they are passionate about but also to spend as much time with Myles as they can. Anyone who encounters the Crocks can instantly tell they are some of the kindest, most giving souls who genuinely care about helping others. With the onslaught of Covid-19, the two now need help themselves.

As with many other small, private businesses, the pandemic has made staying afloat financially more difficult than ever. Tena and Joe are having to face the mounting pressures and the consideration of having to close down CenterPeace Yoga and Wellness for a period of time or longer. In March of 2020, the studio was given the order to close their doors due to the pandemic. What was meant to be a 6-week hiatus turned into a 3-month shutdown with no income for the Crocks or any of their employees. All the while, regular business expenses were expected to be paid as normal, even during the 3 months of no business. When the time for reopening finally arrived, many employees were understandably weary to return in fear of the virus.

With bills piling on, the studio shut down for months, and reduced staff and services, the Crocks worry about losing the studio, the physical space that is so important for others and what they've worked so hard to keep going. CenterPeace has been turned down for every Covid-19 grant and loan from the government that has been granted to other small businesses. After exhausting all avenues of ulterior financial support, this is a last resort option for CenterPeace, as we all know and love it, to remain open.

If you would like to support a small business and two of the most loving, kind, and compassionate people I've ever met, please consider donating and sharing the link to this GoFundme on your social media.

THANK YOU!!

After talking with the Crocks, they want you to know that if the worst decision would have to be made, they would find a way to provide everyone with at least 45 days notice to use their class passes, gift certificates, etc. and their online programing would remain intact.
