Husband and wife diagnosed with Cancer

My name is Jason Ellis and I am 47 years old. My wife is Shauna who is 43 years old, and we have been blessed and united in marriage for 14 years with 2 children ages 13 and 17. For the last 10 years, I have been employed as a UPS driver in the Washington, Maryland, and Virginia areas. On May 20, 2021, Shauna was diagnosed with breast cancer and endured a double mastectomy which led to her having two reconstruction surgeries one on October 1st and the second one February 14th of 2022. While Shauna was recuperating from her surgeries, I had a scheduled a colonoscopy on February 16th, which resulted in me being diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. On March 9th, I had surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC to remove a mass, but the doctor was unable to remove all the cancer from my colon. Therefore, I began chemotherapy on April 19. 2022.

Due to my health, I have not been able to work since March of 2022. Since I am the primary provider in our home, it has impacted my children and wife emotionally and put a strain on our daily expenses. I have requested assistance from agencies and creditors with negative results. It has become a financial burden at this point which could potentially cause a foreclosure on my home. My savings has been depleted causing a major hardship in my family. We ask moving forward that you keep our family in your prayers and if it is in your heart to donate, it’s greatly appreciated.
