Putting our veteran to rest

Today I am asking for help in giving my father the farewell he deserves. He always said "just throw me in a box", well that just isn't going to work out for us. Dillon will be cremated and spread in the ocean to be with his Naval ship and friends lost in the war, right where he wants to be. 

3-1-2019 was a day for saying good bye, and safe travels to the most Honest, caring, respectful, and selfless person on the planet. My dad Dillon Brown bid this life a farewell, and is now doing all the things he dreamed of doing. this man took on the responsibility a five girls that we're not even biologically his, but loved and raised all of us to be the women we are today. Not only did he take us on as his daughter's, when the grandchildren came along they were even more of a blessing to him. He taught us to never judge a book by its cover, and always give somebody a second chance no matter how badly they hurt you the first time. I have never known a never will know anyone like him again.

I have no words that can describe what he has done for so many people. I have seen him take people off the street and turn their life around and never asked for a thing in return but friendship, and to always pay it forward. I went from a troubled youth and a very Rocky past, to the woman I am today because of the father that I lost.

Family isn't always blood , it's the ones that walk beside you and help carry you over the good and bad times. This man was my father in every aspect of my life. for all the things that he did for me he only asked for one thing in return, to pay it forward to someone else in need. I never in a million years pictured my future without him in it, and I still can't. My dad was one in a million.
