Help Put the "Can" in Cancer!

On March 4, My sister, Lauren Gunnell (Bush), was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Cancer. Really? This scrappy and funny and young mother of three has cancer? How could this have happend? That is a question there is no answer for. So I decided to ask a question that can be answered. How do we fight this playground bully? How do we show cancer that it messed with the wrong girl? By showing cancer what it's up against.
You see, if anybody can put breast cancer in its place, it's my sister. I want people to understand that cancer is about to get destroyed by the strongest, sweetest, sassiest lady this planet has ever seen. When faced with a knee-buckling revelation, she set her jaw, clenched her fists, and laughed. Sure she's scared. But you know what? It's okay to be scared. Fear turns to fight. Scared means nothing more than you're about to do something really, really brave.
Now, this battle could be epic, and like all battles, we need resources to be victorious. My sister is starting a six-month regimen of chemotherapy on April 11th, followed by surgery and radiation therapy. Over the next 180 to 365 days, it's her job to fight and to regularly update us on her progress. Right now her family doesn't have the money to last the entire war and I want to change that.
Join us and contribute what you can. It will offset medical expenses and the monthly bills that she helped cover by working part-time while her kiddos were in school. Help support Lauren as she rolls up her sleeves, takes out her hoops and gets ready for a good old fashion brawl. If you give, I can personally promise that she'll deliver a roundhouse kick to cancer just for you.
And best of all, when she's through this (and she will get through this), you can stand with her as she declares to the world that she made cancer her laughing stock, and showed us all once again how titanium-hard she can be. Cancer started this fight, but she will finish it...and she will win.
