Every year, DPETNS and the wider Donabate community come together for a very enjoyable and worthwhile fundraising Fun-Run to celebrate our learning partnership with PEPY Empowering Youth in Cambodia.
Usually, we are all so excited to welcome our four visitors from Cambodia to join in our celebrations. However, due to the Covid19 pandemic, our friends' visit was postponed and our Cambodia day could not go ahead this year.
PEPY Empowering Youth are currently making great efforts to keep scholarship students enrolled in their studies. Due to the economic effects of the pandemic, students have lost their jobs and are depending on financial support from the Learning Centre to remain in education.
We would love to work together to show our friends that we support all the life-changing work they do, and that we are so grateful for the educationally enriching and fulfilling partnership we have together.
We are calling on the community to PUSH YOURSELF FOR PEPY! Choose an activity you find challenging and take a photo of yourself completing it. Some ideas include: running, cycling, jumping into the sea, jumping on your trampoline, learning a new language, recording yourself singing, complete a back garden obstacle course and skipping. Send your photo to your DPETNS teacher or [email redacted] to be included in a video at the end of the event. Participants can donate afer they have completed their challenge or ask for sponsorship.
We understand this is a very challenging time for everyone. We thank you in advance for whatever support you may be able to offer, financially or otherwise.
