HELP PAUL BEAT LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA

Hi Everyone! Starting a Go Fund Me page is something that I've been considering for some time now; but I was struggling with asking for help. I had finally decided it was something I had to try due to my mounting medical bills that have literally wiped me out, making it impossible to keep my head above water.  My significant other and I started drafting my campaign, and at the same time I had a follow up appointment with my Oncologist.  It was that doctor's appointment that changed everything....as i received very disheartening news.  The 6 months of chemo I had just finished did not do what my doctor had hoped it would do.  The cancer didnt respond to the chemo as we hoped.  In fact, my abdomen and my blood and marrow were more full of cancer at this point than they were at the start of the chemo.  Both the CLL Leukemia and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma had become extremely aggresive, and their growth rate had more than doubled. I am in real trouble. The plan is to have me undergo an even more intensive chemo plan, combined with taking oral chemo between infusions,  and eventually having a Bone Marrow Transplant which is the last option available that could save my life.  There is a lot of red tape involved in getting approved for a Bone Marrow Transplant...could literally take months.  One big issue with this plan is the oral chemo.  The copay on oral chemo after my insurance is applied is still approximately $3,000 per month.  This is so scary and overwhelming because I do not have the funds to cover that once let alone several times.  That $3,000 is nothing compared to what my average medical bills are per month, and the months I have hospitalizations are even worse.  With the current state of my Cancers I can't afford to not take the oral chemo.  It will truly help save my life, or at very least keep me healthy enough to await the approval of the Bone Marrow Transplant.  We set a goal of $40,000; but $3-5,000 is needed quickly as I'm due to get oral chemo early next week.  My current financial situation didnt happen overnight....its been slowly building over years.  Things were already tight due to being on Disability since 2011 because I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure 15 years ago.  It eventually became so bad that my doctors recommended that I quit work and apply for disability.  Although I am very grateful to be receiving disability; it is not enough to take care of all I have going on and take care of my family.  We have two boys, Michael 12 and Quinn 11.  Just simple everyday family expenses arent doable right now which is so hard.  My heart condition was rough for years, resulting in multiple hospitalizations, many of which included time in ICU.  Eventually, my heart health did improve but my immune system deteriorated.  I was hospitalized about a dozen times in the year and a half prior to my cancer diagnosis, with pneumonia as well as other viruses.  It was at the end of February when I went to the Emergency Room with extreme abdominal pain that I was finally diagnosed with CLL Leukemia and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  The pain I had was due to an enlarged spleen which is common in later stages of  both of the cancers I have.  The spleen continued to grow and by summer i was distended and uncomfortable the doctors agreed it had to be removed.  I had surgery to remove the spleen in early August. It was in October that  I was first told that my cancers had become aggresive and that it was looking like l also had a tumor in my abdomen.  In my most recent hopital stay of 6 weeks I was informed that the cancers had become even more aggresive and are currently at a 100% growth rate.  To make things even more complicated, it was discovered through an attempted biopsy, that what was thought to be a tumor is actually a FOREIGN OBJECT, left behind from my spleen removal surgery.  Im sure I dont have to explain how dangerous it is for me to have a foreign object in my abdomen.  The complications that could arise from this, including serious infection, are not helping my current situation. I'm just extremely overwhelmed.   As i said, it was very hard for me to do this, but I have decided to fight this with everything I've got .....I want to see my boys grow to be young men......and at this point I cant do all of this without your help.  Please, if you can, donate to my campaign.  If you can, forward it to anyone you know.  My significant other, my boys and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Everyone's support and prayers are greatly appreciated! God bless each and every one of you!
