PUERTO RICO'S STUDENTS NEED US

Donation protected

By now, everyone has heard about the devistation in Puerto Rico following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Homes were destroyed and millions of people were left in the dark (literally). Relief efforts are in full effect,  supplying food and water to those in need. Restoration of the electric and  water supply is a process, but it's happening. Immediate needs are being met and people are working together.

While the government has provided aid and many celebrities and charities have stepped up to help get Puerto Rico back on its feet, there is one thing that we haven't heard much about...the students. I'm sure you can imagine how terrified these children must have been during the massive storms and how confused they must be in the aftermath. Schools have yet to reopen. When they do, they are going to need help. Students will need backpacks, uniforms, shoes, lunch boxes and more.

As an educator, my heart aches for those students and the teachers who have to rebuild. I recently reached out to my cousin, a teacher at Escuela Pepita Garriga in PR, to find out how I can help. There is SO MUCH that they need to get the school and the students ready for learning again. A monetary donation in ANY amount will be helpful and very much appreciated. Will you join us in our efforts to supply students and classrooms with the things they need to be successful again?
