my name is David Walker and I'm a novelist, a children's book writer and illustrator who has wanted to have this book published since my youngest child was born...she's 19 now.
It was written to teach our children to never give up on any of their dreams, even if the people around them say they can't do it! In the story, the young boy failed over and over again, but never gave up, and he finally got his tree.
I'm raising the money to publish the book and participate in book readings at schools and teach our children to stand up for what they believe in—to triumph over adversity.
