My name is Adrian Page - you may know me in real life, from online, or just as the author of tautened and unraveled. I'm a lesbian author who writes about and primarily for lesbians -- which tends not to be cost-effective, but is something I truly love and believe in doing.
I’ve just finished the second draft of my novel, knotted. To help me get it off the ground and put the best possible version of it out there for you, I need some help! Funds raised in this GoFundMe & the Kickstarter will go towards the following:
1. $400 for editing
2. $150 for a cover design
3. any additional funds raised beyond the goal will be spent on advertising, printing/shipping costs for the funding rewards, or saved for funding for future publishing.
About the novel:
What does your past mean for your present? Are some wounds too deep, too ancient, to ever heal?
When Lia Costa’s father finally dies, the last thing she expects is to be launched on a search for the mother who disappeared in the middle of the night when she was small. But when half of a clue sends her to the small Cape town of Mossfield, that long-time daydream is about to become reality. When she meets Nes Macnamera, longtime resident and homebody, the answer to her lifelong questions about her mother seem to be within her grasp, and she does what she does best: runs.
Nes never expected to meet someone as electric as Lia. Their connection is instant and intense: so much so, that it shocks Nes off the rails of her well-worn routine into a search for her mother, who abandoned her nearly two decades ago. The closer the two get to the answers they’ve been searching for, the closer they become. But the threads connecting them to their pasts, and to each other, are more knotted than meets the eye.
