PSS for HOPE
The Help Orphans, Promote Education (H.O.P.E.) Foundation is a Toronto based charity that, as the name suggests, works in facilitating the studies of children facing severe difficulties to help secure their futures.
Our partnership with H.O.P.E. yielded the opportunity to select from a wide variety of schools across both Canada and Pakistan to receive our Education Fund. As previously mentioned, after careful consideration the AIMS College in Islamabad, PK was selected. For several years, the AIMS College had been operating through renting an external premise. Although the beginning of a very important project, this form of external leasing provided little opportunity to capitalize on classroom, computer lab, and science lab facilities.
As of May 2019, AIMS College had finally opened their own school campus. Needless to say, this milestone came with a whole new plethora of student provisions. Not only are these disaster-affected children being provided subsidized/free education, the current phase of operations entails developing hostel quarters that will allow students who have nowhere else to go, subsidized accommodation along with steady sources of amenities ranging from daily meals to study materials
