Friends and Family of Prudy Dowers, we are raising money to help cover the cost of a celebration service and cremation.
Prudy was a sister, mother, friend, confidant, partner, companion, social activist, supporter, and so much more as described by the following friends.
“My world is a little darker now! A beautiful light has gone out and now is a part of God's greater universe! There are no words to truly express how much your love and friendship has meant to me my beloved Prudy Dowers!! You were my voice of reason, my devil's advocate, my perpetual "hippie", my other mother, my sister, MY FRIEND!! Your kindness and compassion for the homeless, the oppressed, and the broken of spirit will always be my inspiration! I know you asked me not to cry when you left this mortal life, but you asked the impossible of me because I just can't imagine not hearing your laughter or talking for endless hours about anything and everything so I know you will understand if my love for you and my loss of you is more than I can bear! The words you spoke loving in my ear when I was most broken, I will cling to. God is love, all love and only love and I belong to God!! Thank you Lord, for the blessing of my beloved Prudy! I will miss you more than I can express with mere words! Rest in paradise and we shall meet again one day! I LOVE YOU PRUDY!” Debby Robertson
“Hearing that Prudy aka MOM passed today leaves me with a Heavy Heart....she was truly the Mom I didn't have growing up! I wanted to go to their place every weekend cause there was a lot of love being passed around, from the sleepovers to the Hikes through Golden Gate Park and Picnic Lunches I will always hold on to the Memories!! Prudy also worked at the school and would give out Big Hugs/Kisses when we were feeling Sick....Man she is going to be Truly Missed!! #RIP” Celina Carleton
