Zeus’ surgery

Hi,

This is Zeus, the third member of our family and we had to make an incredibly difficult decision after he was in an accident on Sunday 19th June 2022.

Zeus was playing in the yard with his kong when the back gate was slammed open and the people who did it ran away laughing. Zeus then ran out of the gate to a main road and was unfortunately hit by a small van. Because of the speed he was running at, he managed to fracture his leg and cause some cuts needing stitches, he also suffered with some bruising on his lungs. An amazing woman named Hannah saw what happened and got him straight to the vets for treatment (thank you so much) 

The risk for the repair surgery is just too high for us, and so is the price. We have made the decision in Zeus’ best interest to amputate due to him only being a year old and having the ability to adapt quickly, and also due to the nature of the fracture, he may need to have another surgery in 6 months time which is more pain for him and more money which we physically cannot afford.

we are not asking for someone to give us £6000, it’s a lot of money, that’s roughly just how much zeus’ treatment is going to cost and absolutely ANY help in getting there would be incredible.

unfortunately due to the fact we don’t receive any benefits from the government means that we can’t qualify for any help from larger charities so if we could reach out and ask for any support from our friends, families, dog lovers, animal lovers, local charities and anyone else, please share this and let’s get Zeus’ back home safe! 

We appreciate any help as I said, don’t feel pressured to help, we know times are difficult at the moment but even just sharing this will help us immensely.
