Providing Tanzanian Children with School Supplies and Toys❤️

Hello and welcome to my fundraiser everyone! My name is Lexi Runstedler for those who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting! I’m thankful you’ve all taken the time to click on the link to inquire the purpose of this go fund me, so thank you for being here❤️.

Education has the power to transform the lives and aid in breaking the cycles of poverty and equality. Many Tanzanian children schools lack access to basic resources and opportunities and that’s why I’m writing you this message, to create a change. I’ve set out an achievable goal that helps bridge this gap and provide children in need with supplies that will allow them to thrive.

Every Monday to Friday for the past two weeks I have been volunteering every morning to mid-afternoon at a local preschool here in Arusha, Tanzania! I am staying for another two weeks and I’ve set out on a mission in hopes to create a brighter future for the children that I’ve been blessed to spend time with. At the preschool, supplies are extremely sparse which gives me a purpose to create change. Students have one excersise book, few story books, two erasers amongst each class, no back up pencils or pens and not one ball, rope or game to play with during recess. Students experience a challenging learning environment due to their lack of basic school necessities, hindering their ability to learn and unlock their future. This is where I need your help.

Here’s my goal - I want to raise a minimum of $500 to provide these children with some basic school supplies and toys to provide a brighter future for them. So why donate? By contributing any financial donation to my fundraiser, you’re adding to the success of a child’s education journey and overall life skills. Your donation will be going straight to resources such as pencils, pens, erasers, exercise books, reading books, colouring books, rulers, chalk, staplers, bread, nutritional snacks, bubbles, soccer balls, basket balls, skipping rope, and paint. Without education, children around the world aren’t able to find their purpose. Purpose creates a feeling that we are part of something bigger than ourselves, that we are all here for a reason, that we have something in front of us to achieve. Purpose is what unlocks our ability to achieve our own definitions of happiness.

Extraordinary change can happen when a group of people come together to make a difference.
