Protective face shields for doctors in St. Helens

Donation protected
A local doctor posted on the Eccleston Community Support Facebook group asking for help in 3D printing some of these protective face shields.

The shields provide a valuable extra layer of protection for GP's and Care Workers helping to keep them safe when working with the general public during these critical times.

The shields are made by 3D printing the headband and simply attaching elastic and A4 hole punched transparent sheet. The transparent sheets can be disposed of and replaced injust 30 seconds allowing the headband to be reused.

Myself and another local resident both have a 3D printer at home and have started to 3D print the headbands, the first batch are already being used. However demand for these is very high, we have been asked potentially to make these for every NHS GP and care worker in St. Helens. Our printers are working round the clock to make them as quickly as possible, however my own supplies of material to make these will run out before the weekend.

This page has been setup to raise funds to purchase more material so that we can continue to make these.

A single £5 donation will pay for enough material to make over 8 headbands, just 40 donations will raise £200 and enable us to purchase enough material to make over 300 of these, potentially enough to supply them to all the GP's and care workers in St. Helens. Although many more may be needed.

As a token to say thank you for your donation, I will 3D print a fun keyring for you when I have finished making all the headbands required.

Thank you for your support.
