We want to preserve mature redwoods that a developer wants to cut down for an unwanted Chevron gas station. We submitted 200 comments against the gas station but we will need money for an attorney and experts.
These trees shade wetlands where we want to restore salmon runs. This area is part of an important linkage of wetlands and nature walks for our community. Eagles and herons use this area. The next hearing is August 20. We hope to raise money by then. The Trees will thank you, and we will too! Here's a link to a national blog about this struggle.
