Prosthetic Fund for Kellianne Witkowski

Kellianne Witkowski is a 20 year old young lady with a giving heart, amazing sense of humor and strong moral compass. She is in her second year of college. When not in school she enjoys training service dogs that can go on to help those in need, like her own mobility assistance dog. 
In June of 2015 Kellianne was hit head-on by a distracted driver. Kellianne had her foot on the brake as she saw the other vehicle coming right at her. The impact of the crash came through the brake pedal and exploded Kellianne’s right foot. She has had 5 surgeries to try to save her foot. They have attempted to fuse her foot by taking portions of her leg and pelvis to put into her foot. None of them have been successful. They have even tried using stem cells and a bone growth stimulator to help the healing process but after each surgery more of the bones in her foot seem to die off. As her and her family have feared, her foot lost blood supply and the bones began to die even more rapidly than expected. At this point amputation is her only option. She will have a below the knee amputation on February 15th. 
Sadly the insurance did not cover all the expenses from the multiple surgeries and this has left this family to cover thousands of dollars of expenses as a result of the accident.

Moving forward, Kellianne will need multiple prosthetics. They have a basic leg, then she would need a different one for jogging and yet another for swimming, etc.

Prior to the accident Kellianne was an active teenager. She enjoyed jogging daily with her dog along with hiking and swimming. Kellianne, along with her doctors and her family are optimistic she will be able to do all of those things again soon.

I am trying to help the family raise the money needed to help offset the cost of the prosthetics and surgeries Kellianne will need. 100% of the money raised from this campaign will go towards purchasing the prosthetics Kellianne will need to aid in the return to a active life.  Every dollar will help.   Thank you so much for considering a donation for Kellianne!
