E-Fugee Refugee Project Fundraising

E-Fugee is a student-led organisation, part of the Enactus, at Royal Holloway University which aims to support refugees in the Slough area through: improving their livelihoods, helping them find employment and overall integrating in to society. We hope to achieve this through one to one weekly workshops held by our team and supported by the Slough Borough Council and Slough Refugee Support. During the workshops we will help with issues such as CV writing and interview skills, however, overall throughout this process, we hope to break the social stigma of employing refugees. Through employment, the lives of the refugees will improve dramatically; so much so that they are able to follow the aspirations that they came to the U.K with.
Working with refugees and asylum seekers we want to help develop their English Language Skills (both written and spoken), Employability Skills, Basic IT Skills and more.
The E-Fugee team is passionate about learning of the experiences and challenges refugees in the UK may face. With this information we then hope to develop programs to combat any issues surround integrating into society. We want to empower them through our platform and provide them with a tool-kit that will help them integrate into and contribute towards society.
