The Gregory Lincoln Education Center is a K-8 public school located in the 4th Ward community. Historically serving students from disadvantaged backgrounds, many students are unable to afford the necessary supplies for school. Covid-19 further magnified the problem as many families were laid-off or furloughed. Additionally, many students lack sufficient internet access, vital to quality education online. This will further their expenses.
We at Teaching to Give, are partnering with the Gregory-Lincoln Education Center to raise supplies that will be used through out their fine arts program
Teaching to Give is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to help improving the education of k-8 students. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, schools have been forced to resort to online learning which has proven to be less efficient in allowing students to interact with their teachers, which results in poorer education. Teaching to Give aims to help bridge the educational gap by providing 1-1 online tutoring sessions with students.
