Project give a rip. [MOBILISE NEPAL.]

G’day, We are the Butler family.

We are raising money to support a mercy mission in Nepal that is literally changing peoples lives and impacting the nation.

Our family had the privilege of doing a short term missions trip to rural Nepal in 2019 with a team from YWAM perth. (Youth with a mission). We worked with a local legend there, Birbal, who is actively planting churches, spreading the gospel and meeting the practical needs of so many of his local people for nearly 20 years. He is a full time volunteer living by faith and leads a ministry that builds homes for those who are in need and do not have the means. He raises money, finds a willing and able team, and does amazing work bringing all the elements of a build together in some of the most trying conditions, bringing joy, love, freedom from oppression and hope of a future to his people.

Along side this, He is relentlessly advocating for women in his country and fights for their rights, justice and freedom in a land that does not see their value.

In the trenches mixing mud and building homes in 100% humidity and plagues of frogs one day, suited up amongst some of the nations most influential the next.

This experience has left us forever changed. What we saw this man, his family and a loyal band of mates do with the very little they have was nothing short of humbling and inspiring.

While on the ground in Nepal, we saw the desperate need of a vehicle for this ministry team that they can use to cart their materials and tools to the remote places they build. Currently they do all of this work not owning a single means transport for the builds. They spend valuable time and money hiring drivers and trucks to deliver what they need on site.

We see that if we can hit our target, this ministry can purchase a vehicle that would mobilise this mission to a whole new level and get to more places more efficiently and cost effectively than ever continuing to change lives, restore hope and fight the good fight for this beautiful nation.

We call this “Project give a rip.”

We continue to raise funds anyway we can as a family outside of this site.

We are determined to see this target reached and won’t stop until we do.

My good friend Birbal is deeply moved at the thought of people half a world away, rallying for his cause and I know he’d want me to sincerely thank you so much for giving!!

Our family believe in this mission so much that we have every intention of returning to do future builds with this team if that ever becomes a possibility again. We have seen first hand just what conditions some of the locals are living in and the daily dangers that they face.

By far the most beautiful thing though, is to watch on as they see their very own home (simply an impossibility to most) come together in under two weeks, in some cases, built by complete strangers from the other side of the world, making them feel loved and valued, safe and hopeful for the future. It is a life transformation!! A buzz of appreciation, Joy and excitement fill entire villages as they see some of their own brought back to life.
