Project Fo Mitambatra (Year 5)

Project "Fo Mitambatra" is an annual crowdfund I originally established in 2014 after completing my Peace Corps Service in Madagascar. The model is simple:
1. Collect donations from friends and family in the states, and all around the world
2. Wire transfer funds to amazing Malagasy volunteers in Anjiro, Madagascar
3. Monitor the disbursement of scholarships through verified contracts with administrations of two local private schools.
This year, I am again asking you to donate money via GoFundMe, personal check, or Venmo, to help me reach my fundraising goal of $5,000 to enroll 50 to 150 students (with equal gender representation) into local schools in Anjiro.
$70 provides 1 year of school for one student in Anjiro. Any amount helps and we will gladly accept any amount.
This will be the 5th year that we have been fundraising together for these students. During the course of these five years, I have relocated to three different cities for school and work, a portion of some of our students have dropped out, and we have even lost some of our Fo Mitambatra parents due to sudden illnesses. However, we are steadfast in our determination to keep this fundraiser going every year so that is what we intend to do.
Education is one of the most fundamental human rights. Investing in local capacities, especially in rural sub-Saharan African communities to provide, and receive, educational services over the long term is a major step we must take to ensure that we are alleviating abject poverty and human suffering for the rising generation.
Offline donations: If you prefer to contribute 100% of your donation to the student, you may do so via an "offline donation", where GoFundMe will not deduct fees. You can send me a personal check (please contact me for my address), or via Venmo (@Clifford-Duong0). Please specify whether you would like to remain anonymous, and your public "Thank you" note will be referred to as "Anonymous Donor".
