Professional Grade Freeze Drier

A sanctuary is expensive to run. The Macaw Rescue and Sanctuary houses over 500 birds of varying species. Housing needs continue to grow or require repair and renovation. Food is an important and expensive portion of our budget. 

All funds received will go towards the purchase of a professional freeze drier which will allow us to store for the leaner months when fresh foods are no longer available for our birds. This will also allow us to keep costs down and when fruit is plentiful we will be able to preserve the quality of the foods.

The work done by the Macaw Rescue and Sanctuary is needed 365 days a year, rain or shine, and now provides shelter for over 500 birds. Many of these birds have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment. Please help us provide a safe and positive life for these extraordinary birds!
