On July 28-29, 2018, Prof. Spira & Brother Air of Mucus-free Life LLC brought together over 40 people to celebrate the legacy of Prof. Arnold Ehret (born c. July 25, 1866) and his Mucusless Diet Healing System. The event took place in Prof. Spira's backyard and featured 5 speakers, two musical acts, a food-prep demonstration, a community juice party, and much more! A number of participants left inspired saying that the experience CHANGED THEIR LIVES!

THIS YEAR WE ASPIRE TO MAKE THE CELEBRATION BIGGER AND BETTER
We want to make the 2019 Ehret Day Celebration bigger and better than last year! In 2018, Prof. Spira personally funded the event himself. Yet, to grow and realize our 2019 vision, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Great New Location
This year we will have the event at the beautiful Whetstone Park of Roses Shelterhouse in Columbus, Ohio, USA. It is a bit more pricey than Prof. Spira's own backyard!
Great New Out-Of-Town Speakers
Last year, all of the speakers and performers lived within 100 miles of the event location. This year, in addition to Prof. Spira, Brother Air, and Tekoa, we would like to bring in two great mucus-free speakers. To do so, we will need funds to cover their travel expenses, lodging, etc.
World-Class Art & Music
We plan to have a roster of world-class musicians, dancers, and artists participate in this event. It is important to us to be able to properly compensate these artists for their time and expertise.
LOCATION: Whetstone Park of Roses Shelterhouse
3901 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio
The Park of Roses Shelterhouse is a favored location for wedding receptions, as well as social and business meetings.
The 5,200 square foot facility can seat up to 175 guests, is air conditioned and gas heated, contains 2 gas fireplaces, and separate male and female restrooms. It also has a kitchen with a refrigerator and sink.
This is a "hot spot," and reservations are often made up to a year in advance. After having been rejected in March 2019, Prof. Spira happened to call back in May and the previous party had cancelled their event, and he was able to reserve the space for July 27, 2019 from 8am to 11pm. Weather permitting, on July 28th our day-two activities will take place in Whetstone Park, near the shelterhouse and Park of Roses.
PROJECTED SPEAKERS
We have several world-class speakers that we hope to confirm for our event. Although some of the speakers live within 100 miles of the event location, several speakers we'd like to bring in are as much as 2,360 miles away (3,798 km), and outside of the United States!

Dylan Cag is an expert on Earthship Biotecture, a world-class face & body painting artist, freelance visual artist/designer, yoga instructor, former associate professor at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, and practitioner of the Mucusless Diet. She attended the Earthship Biotecture Academy and received training from the architectural innovator and visionary Michael Reynolds.
We would like Dylan to 1) introduce the Mucus-free community Earthships and what it takes to build off-the-grid homes that are made from natural materials and are even stronger than regular housing; and 2) discuss our vision of the MUCUS-FREE VILLAGE, which will be a healing community of Mucusless Diet practitioners who help teach the world how to live a mucus-free lifestyle. The vision is for the Mucus-free Village to be in a tropical, wooded environment where the buildings consist of Earthships and other natural homes.
This presentation will prove to be incredibly innovative and transformative to anyone who sees it. But, Dylan lives in Canada, and we need help to get her to the event. With your help, we can bring her here to give an epic presentation on sustainable, mucus-free biotechture. There are few people in the world combining natural living with new and innovative natural living spaces that are friendly to the earth, and we aspire to create a model village that will show the world how to live a mucus-free life.
JOHNNY GONZALEZ
Johnny Gonzalez is a physical fitness expert, trainer/coach at G-Fit Lifestyle, detoxification specialist, and passionate advocate of Arnold Ehret and the Mucusless Diet Healing System. A former body builder, Johnny now advocates pursuing true vitality through a plant-based diet inspired by the works of Arnold Ehret and other plant-based healing luminaries. Johnny is an inspirational speaker who also demonstrates great feats of strength to show how strong one can be on a plant-based diet. As a strength and conditioning coach he has helped numerous people transform their bodies and improve their health.
A presentation from Johnny would be incredibly inspirational and informative. He lives in California and we need your help to get him to the celebration. With your help, we may be able to bring this dynamic fitness educator to our event.

JANAAN AL JAHANNI
Janaan Al Jahanni is a world-class bellydancer, educator, a Partner Relationship Specialist for CompTech Inc., and practitioner of the Mucusless Diet Healing System. She has been one of Ohio's preeminent bellydancers for over 20 years, and has performed with numerous bands and other event. Not only will Janaan perform with the Fire Music Project, but she is also serving as the design and decorations manager for the Ehret Day Celebration!
JOHN DAVIS
John "The Vibe Man" Davis is a jazz vibraphonist from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He met Brother Air years ago while busking at the Detroit Jazz Festival. Ultimately, he came across Prof. Spira's online videos, articles, and books on mucus-free living, and started to practice. As a result, he transformed his life, lost hundreds of pounds, and has overcome a number of ailments. He is a great testimony to the power of the Mucusless Diet Healing System, and continues his practice.
John will perform his famous vibes during the Ehret Day celebration.
MICHAEL A FATHAUER
Michael Fathauer is a chef, musician, construction project manager, and a dedicated practitioner of the Mucusless Diet Healing System. He has years of culinary training, experience, and is passionate about preparing food for others, and teaching them how to prepare it for themselves. Michael will be the head chef for this year's Ehret Day celebration, and will also do a mucus-free food-prep demonstration.
THE BUDGET
As we started to put together the budget for this year's event, we soon realized that we would need help to pull off our vision. Prof. Spira funded most of last year's event himself. But, with the new location, out-of-town speakers, improved meals, more music & art, etc., expenses for the 2019 event soon started to add up.
We would also really like to properly document the event, which can get expensive. Last year, volunteers helped photograph and videotape the event, but we'd love to have professionals help this year.
Here is an overview of the budget:

Food / Beverage (Includes food for the day and an evening meal) = $610
Event Programming (Speakers, performers, video/audio production, graphics, etc.) = $3,400

TICKET SALES
You may ask, won't ticket sales pay for the event? Ticket sales will defray the costs a bit, but we would like to be able to make the ticket prices as reasonable as possible so more people can come. And it is impossible to predict how many people will purchase a ticket. Without funding for proper advertising, we may only get a handful of people. Thus, we need money just to get enough people to break even.
Here is how much tickets would need to cost to break even with our current budget:
40 attendees = $438 per ticket
50 attendees = $350 per ticket
60 attendees = $292 per ticket
100 attendees = $175.15 per ticket
Without money to advertise properly, attendance numbers could be much lower than 40. And, yes we could nickle & dime the program to make it cheap.
But, our vision is to put on a world-class event that honors Ehret's legacy, foster's community, and shares Ehret's message to thousands. Although a limited number of people can attend, the reverberations of what happens at the celebration can reach thousands, or even millions of people!
We cannot pull off this event without your help!
