Rebuilding Puerto Rico

When people say they are going to Puerto Rico they are usually talking about a vacation. I will be heading to Manati, Puerto Rico July 14-21, 2018 with a team of 50 people from Faith Church in Auburn, but it will not be for beaches and suntans.  In September 2017 Puerto Rico was hit by Hurrican Maria. As of January 2018 people are still without power,  and houses are still in need of repair. Through our  partnership with a local church we will be providing a workforce, tools and materials needed for reconstruction.  A summer camp will also be provided for the local children to bring them joy during this difficult time.  I am asking for your help. I work in a school as an instructional assistant, $2000 is more than my budget can handle. Please pray for me that I may serve God and be a true witness of his love  to the people of Puerto Rico. Please also consider sponsoring me financially either through this page or by sending a check to: Faith Church 22 Faith Ave Auburn, MA 01501 In the subject line please write: Jean Peterson PR Mission trip. All donations are tax deductible. Estimated Cost Breakdown: $650-800 Flight and Luggage Fees $150 - 200 Food $150 - 200 Transportation and Lodging $400 - 600 Project Materials
