Hello friends and family--
As many of you know I am starting a new intern position with Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center as of October 1st. They are a non-profit in the Bay Area specializing in helping children, families, individuals and couples who are in need of therapy.
The Grateful Heart therapy practice allows me to set the foundation of what will become a self-supporting therapy business. They have given me a small business loan at 0% interest. I would not have been able to afford the rent and administrative costs, let alone the insurance needed to open my practice without them. For this I am absurdly grateful.
The organization helps newly licensed AMFT's get their feet in the door and they suggest fundraising to help offset the costs of getting started.
So there you go. Your support for my new endeavor not only helps me, but it helps me to provide sliding scale and low cost therapy to a number of clients that would otherwise not be able to afford therapy.
Grateful to be on this new path and excited for what lies ahead.
Oh! And just so you know, though my name is on this fundraiser, I cannot access the money, it all goes to Grateful Heart.
