Please help us bring healing to prisoners at the California State Prison in Lancaster through yoga and meditation!
We need to raise $3,500 before we can begin new yoga/meditation classes in a state facility where we will be teaching 100 men per week who are serving Life/With and Life/Without sentences. Your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donations are desperately needed for purchasing yoga mats, blocks, and 2 PA systems. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated as we move to expand our program and continue to promote our message of "Healing from Within".
When members of our prison population are released, many are too traumatized to rebuild their families and lives and instead either reoffend or dissolve into mental illness and homelessness. Yoga and meditation give people the tools to discover their true selves, to have the courage to be true to themselves, and, when they are released, to have the strength and mindfulness to resist temptations and bad influences, to avoid reoffending, and to go on to the full expression of their lives. Our volunteer instructors gently guide prisoners on a calm, mind-clearing journey of yoga and meditation to alleviate their pain and suffering, and heal their minds, bodies, and spirits.
