My name is Katie Harwell, and I am a 5th and 6th grade Art teacher. My students have written and illustrated a 32 page book about their hometown El Dorado, Arkansas. They have done a beautiful job telling "Why El Dorado" is the best small town in America. We won two state awards for the illustrations in our book. We currently have an amazing digital copy. We paid a graphic designer to scan and arrange our artwork and writing. He used PageMaker to design our story.
We want to print our book, but unfortunately we are now out of money. Our graphic designer works with a printer in Dallas, TX. She has given us a quote of $2,000 for 250 books. We have 58 students and teachers that need a copy. The rest we would sell to our community. The profit from the books would benefit our Art Department. Please consider helping us print our book!
