Princeton Juneteenth Block Party Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hey everyone! A group of Princeton University students has decided to organize and facilitate a Princeton Juneteenth Block Party. This event will be open to the Princeton community and larger New Jersey area to celebrate the cultural achievements of Black Americans and commend the efforts of activists for the Black Lives Matter movement. During the block party, we will be joined by Black artists, speakers, and Black-owned restaurant owners. Attendees can also learn how to take action in their own communities, both geographically and socially. There will be resources available to educate attendees on the history and current work of the BLM movement.

In preparation for this event, we are currently raising funds to purchase materials and supplies that will ensure those who attend the event can do so safely--given the current coronavirus-19 pandemic--and to support local and national organizations seeking to safeguard and uplift Black lives. A portion of the funds will specifically be used to purchase sanitary equipment like hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. We will also use the funds to purchase chips and water that will be made widely available for those who attend. After essential supplies have been purchased, the remaining funds will be donated to compensate performers and speakers and to donate to local organizations of our choosing that are once again, committed to safeguarding and uplifting Black lives, futures, art, and communities. For all those who donate to our fund, we will communicate to you how the funds have been used and will provide you with receipts detailing our expenses if requested.

Thank you so much for all your support! We look forward to celebrating the Black community on Juneteenth with you all!
