My latest CD is a duo album with my amazingly talented cousin Ki Ho'alu artist Patrick Landeza!!! Who btw was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award in Ki Ho'alu at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in 2019!
The album is just two cousins playing down home Hawaiian Ki Ho'alu music. Im playing on my Paul Sheridan Classical Guitar in Slack Key Tunings and this my first time recording for my own release on 'Ukulele too!!! I even used some "illegal" tricks I learned from the great Jazz 'ukulele player Benny Chong on this one!!
CD will be Available December 1st! Produced and engineered by the one and only Chris Lau!!
My cousin paid for most of his portion of the CD project by selling his handmade earrings, fried rice and smoke meat this past month. I however and not quite as good a cook so I gotta go my usual route of crowd sourcing! I already paid for the studio time, the producer, engineering, editing, mixing and mastering. All I meed help with now is actually printing the albums and doing some promo! Itll be 1,500 at least to print the CDs and Id like to do some good promotions for the albuns too! Its a shame tonspend so much money and not advertise properly. So basically Im pre-selling your copies today! Mahalo for all of the support my 'ohana, friends and fans has given me over the years and I hope you will support this album as well.
