Just Beat It-Prayers for Jose

Dear Friends & Family:

On Friday, September 15th Jose Gomez was rushed to the emergency room after receiving a call from his primary doctors regarding his blood work results. He was immediately ordered to check himself into the emergency room where he was then transferred to NYU Medical Center in New York due to his blood work confirming that he has B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This is a cancer that affects your "B lymphocytes" -- white blood cells that grow in the soft center of your bones, called marrow.  They build up in your bone marrow and move into your bloodstream.

On Saturday Jose underwent a bone marrow biopsy and began his first round of chemo on Monday.

Jose and his wife Darlene are expecting their first baby in 3 months, which is why we are asking for your financial support to cover medical expenses for Jose, and to provide Darlene a cushion to be able to take care of the baby while Jose continues to get better and fight this disease.
