Justice for Piper

On 11/12/2017, Piper was senselessly and unapologetically shot by a hunter in the head by a arrow.  The "man" states her and two other smaller dogs ran his deer off and he was upset so in retaliation, he looked her in the face and shot her.  Piper, by the grace of a higher power, made it back to the house. As quickly as we possible could, we attempted to slow the bleeding and prepare her for a trip to the emergancy vet.   She made the 45 min trip to have a CT scan to evaluate the severity of the wound. She then under went a sugery to remove the broad head and arrow. All this only to be completed after paying a mininium amount of $6,000 dollars. Piper has come out of surgery with the loss of her right eye and possible loss of her hearing in her right ear. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her along with many other surgeries. Her owners (mom & dad) plan to fight for her in court. The DNR states that they cannot do anything as this heinous act is not illegal but is considered a malicious destruction of property. Please help support Piper and her owners with medical costs of the surgeries that she must undergo as a result of this cruel act. Funds donated above the costs of her medical expenses will be donated in her honor to animal rescue services. Thank you.
