Thanks to to everyone for the donations received so far, just a little update from Cathy (Rosa’s sister) and family on how the money raised for Rosa will be spent.
At this stage, Rosa’s recovery outcome is unknown - Rehabilitation to re-train the brain is our main focus for the funds to be used. Her eyesight is unknown therefore we may need to use the funds to adapt her lifestyle to one with no sight. The funds will be 100% used towards her recovery and quality of life experiences. —————————————————————————- On Wednesday October 17, 2018 around 8:30pm, Rosa was involved in a serious car accident.
Rosa is currently in critical condition at Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her injuries include severe head trauma to her brain, extensive facial fractures, trauma to the eyes which may affect her long term vision, punctured lung with the other collapsed and fractures throughout her body which can’t be fixed until she has the strength to handle her surgery.
The extent of brain damage is still unknown until the brains swelling goes down but there’s no doubt she’ll need extensive rehab to train her brain to re-learn any function she may have lost.
As a result of this tragedy, the family is facing a long and difficult road to Rosa’s recovery.
The family also faces the reality of high medical expenses and day to day bills just to name a few..
By creating this go fund me page, it is our hope that we can ease the family's financial worries so they can wholly focus on Rosa’s recovery. Any contributions would be deeply appreciated.
We have so much hope and faith that as each day passes Rosa will continue to improve.
The family ask that you will keep Rosa close to your heart and in your prayers.
