Prayers For Papa

Our family is asking for major prayers right now.  My dad had a stroke Sunday, October 28th. The initial effects of the stroke were less worrisome. However, early Wednesday morning, a blood clot in his brain caused loss of blood flow to his brain stem and he was put on life support in the ICU. After a few days in the ICU and multiple tests and scans, dad’s doctors at Maui Memorial Hospital knew that dad would be better monitored by specialists on Oahu, so he was transferred to Queens Medical Center. My mom, sisters and I flew out and are all with him.  Dad’s neurosurgeon determined that the swelling in dads brain was critical and he needed a right suboccipital craniectomy to remove part of the damaged brain and some of his skull to relieve pressure from his brain stem. The surgery went well. We are still waiting for swelling to go down and they are monitoring his progress.  Our prayer is that the effects of dad’s stroke stop in the name of Jesus and that he will recover from all of this with the power of Christ's mighty hand.

We serve an amazing God who can do ALL things, who is shocking all the doctors that see dad’s progress. He is almighty and always so so good!!! Thank you for your prayers and donations!
