Prayers & Support for Melora Brown

My sister, Melora Brown, has been struggling with health issues since March 2017. After much testing locally and in Pittsburgh, she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in July 2017. She immediately started chemotherapy at the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh and they discovered 2 more spots on her liver. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy, a CT scan showed that the tumor in her colon has shrunk, but is not gone.
Melora is scheduled for extensive surgery on November 17th. They will be attempting to remove the tumor in her colon and both spots on her liver. Additionally, they plan to remove lymph nodes from her groin that they suspect are also now cancerous. As a precaution, they plan to remove her ovaries as well. The colostomy bag she has had since the start of all of her health struggles will be replaced with an ostomy bag.
Melora has a long road ahead of her. After healing from the surgery on November 17, she will need at least 6 more rounds of chemotherapy, the stint that is in her kidney will need removed, and she will also need to have the ostomy bag removed if all goes well.
As you can imagine this is a very scary and difficult time for Melora, her husband, and her 13 year old twins, Logan and Lauren. Anyone who knows this sweet family is aware that they would not ask for help themselves, but would be so appreciative and grateful for any prayers and support that is given.
Medical expenses, travel expenses, lost wages, and other accumulated costs have built up for her family and will continue to accrue.
Monetary donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will help my sister and her family immensely during this extremely difficult time. It is one thing that we can do to eliminate some of the stress they are dealing with.
Above all, please pray for Melora's healing, both physically and emotionally. Pray for her husband and children who are at her side as she battles this cancer and all of the struggles that go along with it. And pray for our family's strength, comfort, and peace.
