Prayers for Zoie

My name is Hannah Gillespie. My family and I have lived on the same street for the past twelve years. Recently, we recieved new neighbours who we were introduced to right away. They are a family of five and have three children; two boys and one girl. They have just moved to Hamilton all the way from BC. Today, their youngest daughter Zoie (who is only nine years old) was hit by a car while crossing the street to go home after playing with friends. It was said the driver was going anywhere between 50-70 km per hour and didn't see Zoie in time. She was thrown around ten feet back and suffered a major break to her left femur. Currently, she is awaiting surgery and facing a long recovery. She will need to spend an unknown amount of time in the hospital and afterwords spend eight weeks in a wheelchair, along with this she will most likely need copious amounts of physiotherapy. Zoie's parents will need to pay for various medications, her wheelchair, along with different travel and in hospital expenses. With having just moved all the way from BC, I'm sure it is easy to assume that the family was in no way expecting this to happen, and have little money currently to spend on such unforeseen circumstances. That is why I as their neighbour am setting up this page, in attempt to raise funds to help them in a time of need and show them a real sense of community and that we are all here to help. This was a very shocking experience for everyone involved and I'm sure anything would help.
