Xavion Dee Williams was just 12 years old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After undergoing a precarious medical procedure to remove the tumor via his nasal cavity, Xavion and his family — a loving mother and (younger) brother — began to rebuild their life.
Now 14, Xavion has been diagnosed with Stage 2, Type A Hodgkins Lymphoma. His, then, hard-working mother had medical insurance with her employer ; that has subsequently laid her off “ to give her more time to be with her son”!; now has State provided medical insurance. Her out of pocket costs have just risen twofold.
Currently undergoing treatment, Xavion’s lymphoma is shrinking steadily and his prognosis is looking positive. All funds raised will go towards off-setting the cost of treatments.
Prior to being diagnosed with Hodgkins, Xavion’s mother had begun the process of diligently saving money in order to achieve the American dream of becoming a homeowner for the benefit of her and her two precious boys. Now, her primary focus is once again on preserving the life of Xavion and ensuring that he has the care he needs to overcome yet another obstacle.
