Prayers for Norberto Palomar

I am creating a fundraiser for my father in-law who is in hospice. He had a massive stroke 2 years ago. He’s gone from a strong & active lifestyle to being bed bound, unable to swallow or speak, paralyzed, and dependent on total care for day to day living. He spent a month in the hospital, a year in a Skilled Nursing Facility, and months in an Adult Family home. His care has costed the family over 100k due to not qualifying for Medicaid. The family wanted him home despite medical professionals saying he was heavy care and they wouldn’t be able to do it. It’s taken blood, sweat, tears and even more $$$ to make it happen. He’s been lovingly cared for in his own home since October 2017. The family built a wheelchair ramp, transformed the dining/living room to his bedroom, got a hospital bed, a patient lift, a portable shower, incontinence supplies, medications, formula for tube feedings, installed a generator, added insulation to his room, paid for nurse visits, etc. The list goes on and on. After his last hospitalization for pneumonia he has transitioned to hospice. We’ve been told he only has days before his journey ends. The funds will help with medical expenses for the past 2 years and funeral expenses to come. The family is overwhelmed and is going through so much. His children have missed a lot of work days to care for him. The struggle is real and we are asking for help. Thank you for generosity, love, support, and prayers.
