Prayers For My Sister

I wanted to start this page for my sister, who was involved in a horrible car accident on September 5, 2017. She swerved to avoid a head on collision and was thrown from her car after running off the road; she had to be air lifted by helicopter from the scene to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  

She has been in struggle for her life since she landed.

Through the course of multiple surgeries, they have had to amputate both her legs, repair three broken bones in right arm, she has two collapsed lungs, her spine is broken in two places, numerous microfractures throughout her skeletal structure, internal bleeding due to a lacerated spleen, lacerated liver and kidney, everyday were finding out about new trauma she has suffered due to this.

After being such a vibrant person and full of life, imagine being trapped in a bed, unable to move, and at the mercy of the people around you. In pain and facing the prospect of learning to walk again and you may understand a little about her mindset and outlook.

What started as a trip to the store and bank has become a nightmare.
