Les escribo por parte de mi mamí Eliá. El Sábado 20 de Diciembre sufrió un derrame cerebral. Lucho una lucha pero al fin my mamá falleció el 25 de Diciembre. Mi mamá fue una mujer fuerte y amorosa. Nunca se rendía y fue muy trabajadora desde chiquita. Yo les pido que nos ayuden durante este tiempo difícil. Mi mamá deja a mi papá, Reynaldo, y a 4 hijas, Ana, Yara, Griselda, y a mi, Lupita. Por favor tenganos en sus oraciones. Con mucho amor, Lupe.

As you may know, my mami Elia suffered a major brain bleed last Saturday, December 20th. Due to complications and the swelling in her brain, she passed away on Christmas evening surrounded by her family and friends. My mom was a strong and mighty woman. She has been the best role model I could have ever asked for. Her wittiness, joy, and grace will be missed. Elia was struggling with medical issues that ultimately lead to her death. She was in a lot of pain the last few years of her life and I know she’s at peace. I miss my mom but I know at this time she would like me to be strong for my dad Reynaldo who she leaves behind. She also leaves behind 4 daughters, Ana, Yara, Gris, and I. At this time we prepare to give my mother her proper goodbye but are in need of help. Anything that we can do to help my mami lay to rest.
