Prayers and help for the Peters Family

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Irene (Nanna). First, I'm asking for prayers for my granddaughter, Hayley. She was seriously injured in a car wreck this past weekend. Her injuries are extensive, including multiple broken bones, internal damage, and much, much more. As a result, I am also asking for prayers for her parents, my daughter Cathy and son-in-law Dave.

My youngest daughter (Carole) wrote, on Facebook, about Cathy and Dave. I don't think I could describe them better. She wrote:

"Thank you everyone for the prayers for my niece. Please keep them coming. We still need them buttttttt this has been on my heart heavy. These 2 people have and still are going through more then you know. I’m not going into detail but I honestly don’t know how they do it. My heart breaks for them. These 2 would do anything in the world for anyone. No question and definitely not expecting anything in return. I honestly can’t think of 2 better people. Whom I’m blessed to say are my sister and brother n law. So I’m asking that everyone please pray for them as well as their plate is extremely full but they keep going. Very Godly people. I love y’all and I’m here to help anyway I can. Cathy Peters and David Peters. Also known as Mr and Mrs Clause in our community."

In addition, they are caring for 3 grandchildren at this time. If you can find it in your heart and are able to help with a monetary gift to help offset additional expenses as a result of this tragedy....it would be appreciated more than you can imagine. If you can't help with a monetary gift, please know we most assuredly understand but would appreciate your prayers very much.

I just received this update from Cathy:

UPDATE: I went to see Hayley and she is still sedated and on the ventilator. The surgeon did put the external stabilizer on her left leg but was only able to clean the right leg for now. The doctors main concern is infection and getting her in a position where she can breathe on her own and be able to move to prevent blood clots. She is so sick and hurt and such a long long road ahead of her. The thoracic surgeon will see her to determine if she is a candidate for plates on her ribs to help relieve some of the pain. Hayley needs to come off the sedation to be able to breathe on her own and move to prevent blood clots but her pain is so severe that she may not be able to handle it. I asked the doctors if she was progressing and they said she is better than when she came but still very critical. They said if she is not moving that is not good due to infection and blood clots. Please keep praying for her.

Thank you for any prayers and consideration you can extend to this family.
