Trey had a swimming accident in Florida that caused him to no longer feel his lower body. He was air lifted to a hospital near by. It was confirmed that Trey broke his neck and doctors believe that there is a good chance he will be paralyzed from the chest down.
Update: Treys parents made it to the hospital and they are allowing them to stay with him in ICU, that’s a blessing. Trey’s first surgery went as expected. His 6th vertebrae was crushed and they took it out and replaced it. They also put a rod in his back to stabilize. He will under go another surgery in the next few days. He still has no feeling from his chest down. He can move his head, shoulders and biceps but cannot squeeze our hands. He is on a ventilator but is alert enough sometimes to answer a few questions with head nods. Trey is going to have a very long road ahead of him and we are unsure if he will ever walk again. God is good and I am praying for a miracle that only he can give. No matter what the doctors say I know God has all the answers and we have to trust him. Thank you so much for all your prayers and PLEASE keep praying.
UPDATE: Trey is off the ventilator and is talking to us, praise the Lord. He is happy to be alive. Still no feeling or movement in his lower body. Thank you again for all the prayers.
UPDATE: He’s finally resting! Please keep the prayers coming. He’s just now understanding and realizing what is going on. Please pray not only for a miracle for his physical health but also for his mental/emotional health!
UPDATE: Trey will be having his 2nd surgery tomorrow morning. Please pray for Dr. Lawson and his team. Pray for peace for Trey as he feels his life is over. I can’t thank everyone enough for their outpouring of love.
UPDATE: Update- Trey had a terrible night. His blood pressure stayed extremely high all night and now they are having to cover him in ice packs because his body can’t regulate his temperature. He is absolutely exhausted where he can’t sleep. Please pray that his body will regulate his temperature and he can get some rest. Also, for his surgery this morning. I can’t thank all of you enough!!![]()
